The staff were lovely and very helpful, the setting was beautiful and suited us really well. Although they don’t serve dinner, the breakfasts and lunch were plentiful and tasty.

Yes, I would recommend it to a friend so much so that I would like to book Can Ai to bring a friend in October. We would like to stay from 1st to 6th October, but we would need a twin room. Apparently they have 3 rooms which can be made into a twin. We would also like to do a vineyard tour whilst we are there, is this something you can arrange for us?

Just arrived back from our holiday last night and thought I would drop you a line before it slipped my mind. 

1stly thank you for your help everything went smoothly and we enjoyed both hotels. 

Istly Finca Ca N’ai. Very pretty and wonderful views. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, ,beautiful grounds and eclectic mixture of ornaments that decorate the buildings and courtyard. Great location between soller and port soller. Recommend the mountain train to palma for a day trip. Will go back to enjoy the mountain walking as we were a little short on time. 

We then had 3 nights in the hotel Son Gener. This is designed and owned by a local architect with great attention to detail. Beautifully presented and very calming again in a stunning countryside location. Wonderful breakfast and evening meal. Nearby Arte very pretty and great walking in the hills beyond particularly out to Cala torta. Many thanks to Jeanette and Maria who were excellent hosts at the hotel.

Thank you so much for organising the two hotels for our visit to Soller from 12 -21 September. We had a most delightful holiday and your recommendations were excellent.

Our ratings for the hotels are as follows:

CA N’ai

Service:  4.5  Very good, Jordi  and Chris were excellent, but some of the staff needed a bit more training, especially for breakfast service.
Food : 5     Excellent breakfast buffet, lunches and brilliant barbeque. Themed evening meals will be provided on three more nights starting this week – sorry we shall be missing them!
Cleanliness: 5  Everywhere was very clean, though we don’t think the sun beds were disinfected daily as they were at Son Grec, but no problem with that!
Value for money:  5   Ca N’ai was slightly cheaper than Son Grec and probably because it was larger and spread out, was able to provide a delightful rural ambience.
Sleep quality:  5  Excellent. Even though our room overlooked the bar, it was totally peaceful. Luckily two types of pillow were provided, as one was like a tree trunk!
Both hotels were delightful in their own ways, but we feel that when we return, which we surely will, we would stay at the CA N’ai because of the wonderful mountain scenery and the glorious rural surroundings.

SON GREC

Service: 5   Excellent- Jose was so helpful, booking restaurants, taxis and providing information and Dorothy and their staff were delightful.
Food : 2   Breakfast buffet was quite good, but the only lunch we had was very poor. (Greek salad was a bowl of chopped tomatoes with a few crumbs of Feta cheese)
Cleanliness  : 5  The whole area was immaculate and the gardener cleaned the outside area from dawn to dusk. Bedroom and bathroom also pristine and disinfected.
Value for money : 4 The gardens were a delight and all the works of art – statues in the garden, amazing artwork throughout, and beautiful books provided a truly cultural experience. Dorothy’s parents had left a superb art gallery for the guests to enjoy. The location also is very convenient for walking into Soller
Sleep quality:  5  - Excellent. Peaceful surroundings and a very comfortable bed.  

We were very impressed by the very strong attitude to Covid protection and security at both hotels, and everywhere we went in the area – so much safer and sensible than here in the UK, which we felt was notably very lax in contrast.

Dear Henrik, We have nothing but praise for Can Ai very well run by the Morrell family and their staff all of whom have pride in presenting their Finca. The service was excellent and just got better with each day of our weeks stay. Food was super.Good and varied choice for breakfast and lunch and great choice for dinner.Dishes seemed to have so many different and wonderful flavours. Our room was spacious and clean with two balconies.The bed,large and comfortable so sleep quality was excellent.Generally,it was fully up to our expectations,nothing to complain about and excellent value for money so 5's all round.We would certainly recommend it to anyone who was looking for a relaxed holiday in a quiet, well situated hotel. Hi Hendrik, Both of the properties were exceptional and we loved everything about the locations / food and the staff………Outstanding. We are thinking of going on a cycling holiday in late April 29th for 4 night till the Sunday ( 6 or 7 guys and would welcome some thoughts on places in Soller if you have anything appropriate ). Aircon is always noisy but that’s being very critical and part of being on holiday at the hottest time of the year!

Dear Henrik and Ca N’Ai, Just to say my daughter and I had a wonderful time in Ca N’Ai, it was exactly what we were looking for. The place is so beautiful, peaceful and tranquil, service wonderful and our room was delightful and comfortable (31). Beautiful walk to Deia was a highlight, as was walking to the port to eat and our last delightful dinner at Ca N’Ai  with the music. We have recommended Ca N’Ai already to everyone we’ve spoken to. Special mention to your waitress Sarah and German lady (Amaria?) at reception who helped us find our way everywhere! Ps hoping to find time to add this to Trip Advisor, although with Love Island you may not need it! I hope for a return trip to Ca N’Ai with my husband. Very best wishes

Hi Henrik, We've just returned from our stay at Can Ai in Soller. I thought you might like a little " feed back". Overall we really enjoyed our visit : Great location. Nice Rooms. Pleasant setting & ambience. Friendly  & efficient Staff. Excellent breakfasts. Evening dinners ok , but could be a bit more varied on the menu. Pool was fine & ok , but not the usual bright blue appearance ( which is shown on website ) It looked unappealing in colour ( browny green under water ) , but was actually ok. 0n arrival we were taken to one the seperate blocks,and rooms looked excellent. BUT we had booked rooms in the main building which I explained We went back and then shown rooms in the main block, which were fine. We were then told these were available next day, but then informed we could have them now !! This gave us feeling that we were being pushed to the off block rooms. So overall a pleasant base for our holiday. Kind regards

Hi Henrik, I’m happy to say that on all your subjects Ca N’Ai is 5 out of 5, and I have already recommended to friend who went in July, the relaxed luxury relaxes us immediately and this was our second visit, the only down side was there are only Spanish and German TV channels, but really no problem. Struggled to find the hotel , we arrived in Soller at around 2.15am in the morning , the lane taking us to the hotel was dark , I expected a well lit sign outside the hotel but there wasn’t The Can Ai is a lovely hotel in an idyllic setting with perfect views of the surrounding mountains. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Service – 4, Food – 4, Cleanliness – 4, Value for money – 3, Sleep quality – 5. I would recommend the hotel to a friend. 

Hi Henrik, Thank you for your help with this. However we were disappointed with it. Service: 2. Food: 3, Cleanliness: 3, Value for money: 2, Sleep quality:4. Would you recommend the hotel to a friend?  No. We found the lack of English a problem with the owner who showed us our room . He used sign language and whistling to show us where to park and the keys for the room .  We couldn’t find the tea and coffee making equipment and when I phoned reception told me that they didn’t have that service which meant that we couldn’t have tea or coffee until 9. We are early risers so we were waiting 3 hours for our first drink.  2 of the light bulbs in the cave like bathroom didn’t work, the curtain on the main and very high doors was coming of its track, The shower head which was fiddled with by the legionnaire checker then pointed  out of the bath so that it need a towel to jam it straight  and even though I told reception and staff 4 times they were never replaced or repaired things . The swimming pool is very strange and has algae on the walls which rubs off when you touched it leaving marks on my bikini .  When we asked about this the staff said it wasn’t full season yet and things would get better . The sun loungers had no curtains or roof on them to give shade . These appeared on the morning we left.  When we checked out we were given our extra without charge which was E45 . When we compared this to the lovely one last year we were very disappointed as it was so much more expensive. With best wishes,

Good Morning Henrik, Yes we had a great break in Mallorca..here is some feedback for the 3 hotels we stayed in. Hotel 1: Can Ai. We felt very relaxed when we arrived and it is located in a wonderful country setting within easy reach of Soller. The hotel has obviously been expanded over the years and our room was enormous, the old restaurant!  Room 14. The staff were pleasant and helpful if you could find them…it seemed that they were deliberately understaffed so as to make more profit and continue expanding. As a result cleanliness was not top notch and in particular the pool had green algae all around the sides which would not have taken much effort to solve. They tried hard with the food which was more in the “local “style and we ate in 2 nights. Not bad value. Service: 3, Food: 4, Cleanliness: 2, Value for money: 3, Sleep quality: 4. I don’t think we would return. Hotel 2: Can Simoneta, Not much you can say really as everything is first class albeit a little pricey. The food is a bit over complex in a long stay and we ate out a couple of nights. There is plenty of choice nearby. A fabulous location. Service: 5, Food: 4, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 5, Sleep quality: 5 Hotel 3: Font Santa Hotel, A terrific stay as they always deliver with all the facilities which are first class. They have changed their menu offering again and somehow it did not work very well for us. We ate in on BBQ night and the food was not great for the price. Seafood with no flavour, Meat overcooked and tough. We found a great restaurant in the port of Colonia and there are loads of other choices a short drive away. However in terms of what they provide for what you pay it is a value offering! Service: 5, Food: 3, Cleanliness: 5, Value for money: 5, Sleep quality 5. Hope this helps

Hello Henrik, We very much enjoyed our stay at the Can Ai. We would definitely recommend this establishment. If you require a rural retreat far from tourist crowds this is for you.  The staff at the Can Ai were friendly and helpful at all times.  Our "Superior junior suite with garden and mountain views and terrace" was spacious and the facilities were excellent. We did not have a hire car.  More adventurous travellers would benefit from one. Service: 4, Food: 3, Cleanliness: 4, Value for money: 5, Sleep Quality: 5

Hi Henrik, Thank you for all your help and a really excellent holiday.  I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends.   I have already spoken to several, telling them what a wonderful time we had. The location of the hotel was perhaps its strongest point, halfway between Soller and Port Soller and both only ten minutes away on the regular tram service.  The hotel was also set in a quiet valley with wonderful views over orange groves and the Tramantura moutains. My favourite part of our stay was walking through the orange trees to the scenic breakfast terrace and enjoying those views.  We really enjoyed breakfast and all the hotel facilities but also dined out regularly in the many restaurants in Port Soller and then strolled home in the evenings. We also caught the famous Tren de Soller to Palma, a city we will certainly be visiting again.  My girlfriend loved the privacy:  the room and also the swimming pool with the array of hammocks where it never felt crowded. I would rate Finca Ca N'Ai: Service - 4.5, Food - 4.5, Cleanliness - 5, Value for money - 4.5, Sleep quality - 5. Best wishes

Dear Henrik, I would score C'an Ai a 5 on all aspects bar the food which I would give a 4.  The staff are delightful, our room was very comfortable and spacious, sleep quality second to none.  I scored the food a 4 as I thought it was not quite up to the level of the other amenities.  The choice was fine, presentation good it was the cooking itself.  I am not expecting or wanting 5* food every day but it was unimaginative and only vaguely local.  It could have promoted the use of local/homegrown ingredients for instance.  It would also have been useful to know that lunch was not available during the low season.  Wine selection good and there seemed to be an interest in the choice available more so than with the food. We would certainly return if we go back to the Tramuntana Mountains but there is the rest of the island to explore as well as Menorca and Ibiza! Hope this helps. Best wishes

Hi Henrik, We had a lovely stay at C’an Ai. We would give it a 5 star rating on all counts. We ate in the hotel on 2 evenings and the food was great and the setting of their patio terrace was wonderful. Hi Henrik, Simply our holiday was superb! The rating for Ca n'Ai is 5 across the board and I would definitely recommend to a friend. Ca n'Ai is a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location with stunning views. To sunbathe on hammocks along side a beautiful pool location listening to the birds was in my opinion ultimate relaxation! The staff are exceptional and very friendly, nothing is a problem and they were very accommodating with my dietary needs - they provided food that allowed me to enjoy the holiday without worry. The food was to a very high standard and indeed we ate on site more than we intended. I am very pleased that they have been awarded an 2015 Certificate of Excellence as it very well deserved! Ca’n Ai is a fantastic Finca hotel which offers a very nice surrounding, peace and space. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday, this is a prefect get-away. We really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Wonderfully relaxing and peaceful. Superb accommodation, beautiful rural environment with stunning views, easily accessible from Palma and easy to find. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. We intended to dine out, but the food was so good and the environment so charming we simply didn’t make it! My partner and I have stayed in many fabulous hotels – for us this is the best to date by a country mile.
